Scott Ritter: The Fall of Israel I have previously written about Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, calling it “the most successful military raid of this century.” I have described the Hamas action as a military operation, while Israel and its allies have called it a terrorist action on the scale of what transpired against the United States on Sept. 11, 2001. “The difference between the two terms,” I noted, “is night and day — by labeling the events of October 7 as acts of terrorism, Israel transfers blame for the huge losses away from its military, security, and intelligence services, and onto Hamas. If Israel were, however, to acknowledge that what Hamas did was in fact a raid — a military operation — then the competency of the Israeli military, security, and intelligence services would be called into question, as would the political leadership responsible for overseeing and directing their operations.” Terrorism employs strategies that seek victory through attrition and intimidation — to wear an enemy down and create a sense of helplessness on the part of the enemy. Terrorists by nature avoid decisive existential conflict, but rather pursue asymmetrical battle which pits their strengths against the weaknesses of their enemies. The war that has gripped the Levant since Oct. 7, 2023, is not your traditional anti-terrorism operation. The Hamas-Israeli conflict has morphed into a conflict between Israel and the so-called axis of resistance involving Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansarullah (the Houthi of Yemen), the Popular Mobilization Forces, i.e. militias of Iraq, Syria and Iran. It is a regional war in every way, shape, or form that must be assessed as such.
Israel Steps Up Attacks in Gaza and Lebanon Israeli forces stepped up attacks in both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon overnight and into Sunday. Israeli forces bombed a mosque and a school-turned-shelter in Gaza, killing 26 and injuring dozens more, according to the Palestinian health ministry; the Israeli military described the two sites as Hamas “command and control centers” but provided no evidence. The Israeli military also on Sunday announced a “new phase” of the war in Gaza, issuing new evacuation orders that cover most of the northern part of the enclave, The New York Timesreported. The military said it would send more soldiers and weapons to Gaza to “destroy terrorist infrastructures and undermine Hamas’ capabilities until all the war’s goals are achieved.” Al Jazeera‘s Moath al-Kahlout reported that “the situation here in northern Gaza is deteriorating as the Israeli army intensifies its bombing.” He said that children, women, and journalists were among the victims.

This is a global emergency beyond any doubt.” As Hurricane Milton barreled toward Florida’s Gulf Coast, demonstrating the dangers of global warming, international scientists on Tuesday published a terrifying annual analysis that highlights the need to swiftly phase out planet-heating fossil fuels.
Climate Crisis Made Ocean Heat Driving Milton Up to 800 Times More Likely Sea surface temperatures where Milton developed “are at or above record-breaking highs,” Climate Central observed. As Floridians raced to prepare for and escape the path of Hurricane Milton, an analysis published Monday showed that high sea-surface temperatures fueling the monstrous storm’s rapid intensification were made between 400 and 800 times more likely by the climate crisis. The research organization Climate Central noted that Milton, which is expected to make landfall in the populous Tampa Bay metropolitan area on Wednesday night, is a “historically powerful” storm that has “undergone extreme rapid intensification over sea surface temperatures warmed by climate change.”

Glyphosate and Neonicotinoids are Poisoning Honeybees (and the World) The twentieth century gave birth to honeybee neurotoxins – organophosphate, carbamate and neonicotinoid pesticides. It also gave birth to glyphosate, a weed killer that achieved global significance, being the biggest selling pesticide — ever. But where does this chemical come from? Rosemary Mason, a European physician, prolific science writer, and environmentalist, tracked down the toxic birth of glyphosate. At her 2021 Open Letter to Head of Pesticide Unit at the European Food Safety Authority, she explained how Monsanto created glyphosate. She said: “Monsanto’s weedkiller comes from beneath the soil. The active ingredient in Roundup is glyphosate, which is ultimately derived from elemental phosphorous extracted from phosphate rock buried below ground. Monsanto gets its phosphate from mines in Southeast Idaho near the town of Soda Springs, a small community of about 3,000 people. The company has been operating there since the 1950s. I went to visit last summer [2020], and what I found was startling. I stood just beyond a barbed-wire fence at about nine o’clock at night and watched as trucks dumped molten red heaps of radioactive refuse over the edge of what is fast becoming a mountain of waste. This dumping happened about every fifteen minutes, lighting up the night sky. Horses grazed in a field just a few dozen yards away, glowing in the radiating rays coming from the lava-like sludge. Rows of barley, for Budweiser beer, waved in the distance.”

Bangladesh: One Worker Shot Dead and Many More Wounded After the dramatic fall of the Hasina dictatorship – the so-called ‘Bangla Spring Revolution’ – the mass of people in Bangladesh started to dream once again for their promised happiness. Little did they know how far they are from the promised ‘happy ever after’ fairytale. The so-called ‘revolutionary’ student leaders selected former Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus to head an interim government, and the masses had high expectations that this might lead to an overnight improvement in their conditions. But that did not happen. Effectively, power remains in the hands of the army and its chief Waker-Uz-Zaman, appointed by Hasina and still in place from the former regime. While the army chief himself claims a role in bringing down Hasina, in fact it was the masses – the students and the proletariat – who sacrificed their lives to bring down Hasina. By their actions they forced the senior army officers to boot her out in order to preserve the regime as a whole. Now, despite all their promises about bringing in a democratic regime, the Yunus government has bestowed magistracy powers on the army in the name of ‘Law and Order’. That means the army can shoot and arrest civilians, and carry out its own trials and sentences.
Denmark: Who is Pushing for War? In recent weeks, one event after another has threatened to plunge the world into a major war. This is true both in Ukraine and in the Middle East. We are told that the only aggressors are the enemies of the West. But who is actually pushing for further escalation? On 17 September, the Danish state broadcaster, DR, published a sensational article titled: Secret psychological war plan revealed: Russia wants to hit the West with ‘nuclear psychosis’. In the article, DR ‘reveals’ a Russian scare campaign “to make Europeans fear a new world war.” DR demonstrates this scare campaign with the example of a fake social media post from a non-existent European person: “I don’t want my country to enter into an open confrontation with Russia. Is it really not clear that our actions could lead to World War III? Russia is not our enemy.” In the article, senior researcher Flemming Splidsboel from the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) states that “the message of the campaign is effective because we all fear nuclear war.
Education, Health, and Welfare:
The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers.
