Ecosocialism Not Extinction!

Since World War I, ‘the war to end all wars’, there have been perpetual wars for perpetual peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”, is Still True for Today’s World!

Capitalism as a Failed  System: World Capilalism Has Been Aware of the Comming Catastrophe of Global Warming  Over 5 Decades Ago and Did Nothing!:  Under Capitalism — Human Lives Don’t Matter  Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading  Racism,  War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The  very future of Humanity Is Now At stake!During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

Democracy?: As the Capitalist Robber Barons Steal from the 99%,  Only the 1% Voted For Austerity!   The 99% Should Decide On Austerity — Not Just The 1%, Who Profit From Austerity!!  Under Austerity, All of the World Will Eventually Be Pauperized, Humbled, and Desecrated Like Greece and Puerto Rico.!   Socialism Means True Democracy, that the 99% Will Rule, Not the Few! —

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Republicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich. Rax the Rich!  — They Can Afford To Pay!

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can’t have both.”  ― Louis Brandeis

Revealing He Too Had Manning Leaks, Ellsberg Dares DOJ to Prosecute Him Like Assange “Let’s take this to the Supreme Court,” says the Pentagon Papers whistleblower, taking aim at what he argues is an unconstitutional use of the Espionage Act. Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg on Tuesday dared U.S. prosecutors to come after him like they have Julian Assange by revealing in a BBC News interview that the WikiLeaks publisher sent him a backup of leaked materials from former military analyst Chelsea Manning

United States: Biden, Congress Deny Rail Workers Right to Strike, Impose Employer-Friendly Contractt The United States House of Representatives passed legislation on November 30 aimed at blocking a national rail strike planned for December 9, after workers voted down a tentative agreement negotiated by President Joe Biden’s administration in September.     The workers are members of the Brotherhood of Trainmen (BLET), the Locomotive Engineers and the Order of Railway Conductors (ORC) and two smaller unions, representing about 55% of the 115,000-strong workforce.     The Senate voted to support the “no-strike” legislation on December 1 and Biden immediately signed the new law into effect.

Barry Sheppard: United States: Open Carry Laws Spur Gun Violence In June, the United States Supreme Court struck down a New York state law that restricted the carrying of guns in public. Since then, 38 states have legislated some form of “open carry” laws, and others are preparing to do the same. The US is known for a “pro-gun” culture, and this decision only increases gun violence. Now, any person could be carrying a weapon in public and others have to take that into account. Some are acquiring guns as self defence as a result.    In the few states that don’t yet have open carry laws, it is easy to get guns legally and there are large numbers of illegal guns in people’s hands.

“Military Intervention Will Birth Military Occupation,” Haitian Activist Warns The previous military occupations of Haiti “all brought disease, hunger, poverty and destruction,” says David Oxygène. The Biden administration is again pushing for military intervention in Haiti, in part due to the fear of Haitian immigrants coming to the United States, but also as a result of an imperialist mindset that is focused on physically controlling Haiti.     The U.S. mainstream media constantly present Haiti as a country that is collapsing without presenting geopolitical, colonial and structural contexts regarding this collapse. Since de facto Prime Minister Ariel Henry requested military intervention on October 7, the crisis has worsened. Most recently, gangs killed 12 people and set several homes on fire in Cabaret, a town in the northwest of Port-au-Prince.

Environment: Ecosocialism or Ecocide!:

Indigenous Argentineans Resist Becoming “Sacrifice Zone” for Ecocolonialism The Global North’s demand for lithium threatens a new chapter of colonial dispossession.  Salinas Grandes-Laguna de Guayatayoc is a region located in the province of Jujuy, in the north of Argentina. The 33 Indigenous communities that live around the area belong to the Kolla and Lickan Antay (Atacama) Indigenous people. These territories are high-altitude lakes of salt and minerals that form a closed basin often surrounded by volcanoes and mountains, which communities consider sacred protectors. The Kolla and Lickan Antay (Atacama) people have been living in the area from time immemorial, harvesting salt, planting quinoa, raising camelids like llamas, and most recently making a living off their small entrepreneurial tourist and craft businesses.

Global Biodiversity Summit Called ‘Make-or-Break Moment’ for Wildlife “The deluded dreams of billionaires aside, there is no Planet B,” said U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres. “We must fix the world we have.” The day before nearly two weeks of negotiations kick off at the United Nations summit on biodiversity, campaigners warned Tuesday that the talks taking place this month in Montreal may offer humanity its last chance to mitigate the planet’s crisis of rampant species loss, and called on policymakers to adopt an ambitious framework to protect wildlife.

Shadow Government Statistics Daily Update December 6th to 9th

  • IN THE NEWS: The October 2022 Real Merchandise Trade Deficit widened sharply, reversing pre-election, GDP-boosting trade deficit gimmicks tied to government exports from depleting the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
  • November 2022 U.S. Labor Force [Employed plus Unemployed] continued in decline for the fourth straight month, signaling contracting, not expanding domestic economic activity.
  • Separately, the current pace of monthly growth in Payrolls is consistent with a potential return to full pre-Pandemic conditions in about four years, around Third-Quarter 2026. That circumstance has been pushed back further into the future by two years, or so, reflecting extreme FOMC rate hikes this year.
  • Headline November U.3 unemployment was unchanged, holding at a headline 3.7% (easing to 3.65% from 3.68% at the second decimal point), with U.6 Unemployment notching lower from 6.8% to 6.7% and the ShadowStats Alternate Unemployment easing from 25.5% to 24.4%, both series reflecting minimal rounding differences. JPMorgan Chase, the Largest Federally-Insured Bank in the U.S. with Five Felony Counts, Says 10 Percent of its New Hires Last Year Had Criminal Histories If you’re the Chairman and CEO of a trucking company or air conditioner installer or a computer manufacturer (or thousands of other companies that don’t handle cash and have access to personal and financial data on millions of Americans) announcing to the world that 10 percent of your company’s new hires last year had criminal backgrounds might make you look like a social justice advocate.     If you’re Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of the largest bank in the U.S. with 5,023 bank branches across the country taking in cash each day that represents the life savings of moms and pops and pension funds, announcing that 10 percent of last year’s new hires had criminal backgrounds is not exactly a confidence builder – especially since Dimon’s bank has been charged by the U.S. Department of Justice with an unprecedented five criminal felony counts since 2014. All of the felony counts occurred during Dimon’s tenure as Chairman and CEO, and while his Board of Directors made him a billionaire with stock grants and bonuses. In addition, the bank has a broader rap sheet that likely draws the envy of the Gambino crime family.

Iran: Mass Strike Starts Amid Mixed Messages About Abolishing Morality Police Shopkeepers and lorry drivers from almost 40 cities are participating in mass walkouts Iranian shopkeepers and lorry drivers staged a walkout in nearly 40 cities and towns on Monday after calls for a three-day nationwide general strike from protesters as the government declined to confirm a claim by a senior official that the morality police had been abolished.

Health Workers Mobilise: Unite and Fight to Protect Our NHS! Anyone in Britain who has recently attempted to access healthcare through the NHS is no doubt aware of the huge pressures that the institution is currently under.     This crisis has been brewing for years as a result of cuts and privatisation, and has only been exacerbated by the pandemic, which has pushed the NHS to the brink.

German Imperialism: Ground Between Two Millstones On 28 October, German president and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) Frank-Walter Steinmeier addressed an array of distinguished guests at Bellevue Palace, his official residence. In his ‘State of the Nation’ address, he noted that the world was “heading into a period of confrontation” and that the “struggle for dominance” was coming to the fore. He warned his audience that “harder years, rough years are coming” and that the “peace dividend has been eaten up”. In order for Germany to hold its own in this world situation, he explained, “we [need the] will to assert ourselves,” to show the “strength for self-sacrifice,” and “first and foremost, a strong and well-equipped Bundeswehr [the German armed forces].” When Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in February, German chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) announced that it demanded a “Zeitenwende”, or “turning point” in Germany’s approach to foreign politics, including significant increases in military spending. — Where is this demand for a so-called Zeitenwende coming from? — [Note: the term “Zeitenwende”, first used by Scholz in his February speech, has since become a regular theme in the capitalist press in Germany. It is used to denote a new period, as well as a new government policy. Whereas they claim that German politics had been defined in the past by a ‘pacifism’ suitable for a time of peace, cooperation and prosperity; they now talk about a Zeitenwende in which the world has become more ‘multipolar’ and ‘fractured’, thus justifying the German ruling class’ new militaristic course.]

Health Education and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who ‘:’, pass universal healthcare for themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare

State of Affairs: December 6, 2022 The dreaded and much anticipated triple-demic is finally here—for the first time RSV, flu, and COVID-19 are rising together. And it’s not looking pretty. Here is the current state of affairs. — Overall —Every Friday the CDC updates their “influenza-like illness (ILI)” data. This is a database in which providers tally patients that presented with ILI—a fever and a cough and/or sore throat—at their office. So these numbers include everything (flu, RSV, COVID-19, etc.) and are a general indication of the climate of respiratory of health in the United States.    Last Friday Twitter covered my reaction to the latest data pretty clearly: Holy crap. There are a lot of sick people in the United States right now.
