Quotes of the Day:
It turned out to be a simple problem: The US-NATO alliance could not supply its armed forces or protect its supply chains. The countries of South America, Central America, India and Africa refused to assist anyone. They sat the war out and waited for US-Western hegemony to be defeated. These and other factors caused the American governing elites to proclaim there was an existential threat to US hegemony and way of life. — The Four Front+ War or World War III: A Sketch

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Republicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War! Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich. Rax the Rich! — They Can Afford To Pay!
We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can’t have both.” ― Louis Brandeis
American Thanksgiving: A Pure Glorification of Racist BarbarityThe English commander John Mason declared that the attack against the Pequot was the act of a God who “laughed his Enemies and the Enemies of his People to scorn making [the Pequot] as a fiery Oven . . . Thus did the Lord judge among the Heathen, filling [Mystic] with dead Bodies.” The Narragansett and Mohegan warriors with the English were horrified by the actions and “manner of the Englishmen’s fight . . . because it is too furious, and slays too many men.” The Narragansett returned home and no longer participated in the war. This image is courtesy of forquignon.com. The rest of the white folks thought so, too. This day forth shall be a day of celebration and thanksgiving for subduing the Pequots, read Massachusetts Bay Governor John Winthrop’s proclamation. The authentic proclaimed Thanksgiving Day was born. Few Pequots survived. The next day, the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared : “A day of Thanksgiving, thanking God that they had eliminated over 700 men, women and children. For the next 100 years, every “Thanksgiving Day” ordained by a Governor or President was to honor that victory, thanking God that the battle had been won.
The Original Thanksgiving The year was 1637…..700 men, women, and children of the Pequot Tribe, gathered for their “Annual Green Corn Dance” in the area that is now known as Groton, Conn. While they were gathered in this place of meeting, they were surrounded and attacked by mercenaries of the English and Dutch. The Indians were ordered from the building and as they came forth, they were shot down. The rest were burned alive in the building. The next day, the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared: “A day of Thanksgiving, thanking God that they had eliminated over 700 men, women, and children. For the next 100 years, every “Thanksgiving Day” ordained by a Governor or President was to honor that victory, thanking God that the battle had been won. Newell based his research on studies of Holland Documents and the 13-volume Colonial Documentary History, both thick sets of letters and reports from colonial officials to their superiors and the king in England, and the private papers of Sir William Johnson, British Indian agent for the New York colony for 30 years in the mid-1600s. “My research is authentic because it is a documentary,” Newell said. “You can’t get anything more accurate than that because it is first-hand. It is not hearsay.” Newell said the next 100 Thanksgivings commemorated the killing of the Indians at what is now Groton, Connecticut [home of a nuclear submarine base] rather than a celebration with them. He said the image of Indians and Pilgrims sitting around a large table to celebrate Thanksgiving Day was “fictitious” although Indians did share food with the first settlers.
The Four Front+ War or World War III: A Sketch The dysfunctional, aged President of the United States slowly made his way up to the rostrum in the US House of Representatives. All 535 Members of Congress were in attendance along with US Supreme Court justices, senior military leadership from the Pentagon, plus members of the president’s cabinet. The event was the annual State of the Union address. The venue was the US Capitol building. Tonight, on a blustery January evening, the president’s remarks would focus on the status of the 4+ front war that the United States and its proxies were engaged in, the economic crisis, and the need for sacrifice and tough decisions. Most americans were dealing with food, product and gas rationing. Wage and price controls were in effect. Antiwar protests in America’s big and small cities was a daily occurrence. Crime rates had soared: murder and theft could not be contained. The chamber was somber. No applause took place even when the president was announced by the Sergeant of Arms to the collective assembled in the Capitol building: “Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the United States.” You could hear a pin drop.
Pentagon Robber Barons: With $800 Billion Budget, Pentagon (Again) Can’t Pass an Audit (And No Outrage From Republicrats!)If the Defense Department can’t get its books straight, how can it be trusted with a budget of more than $800 billion per year? The U.S. military has the distinction of being the only U.S. government agency to have never passed a comprehensive audit.
Right-Wingers Who Stoke the War on Trans People Have Club Q Blood on Their Hands The mass shooting of people at an LGBTQ nightclub came amid the right’s systemic attack on trans and queer people. Even before police announced hate crime charges against Anderson Lee Aldrich, the 22-year-old man accused of orchestrating a massacre at an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs over the weekend, it was obvious to queer and trans people that the nation’s latest mass shooting was yet another form of the anti-trans and homophobic violence that has been escalating in U.S. society, both structurally and interpersonally, as lies about our lives reach a fever pitch in the right-wing media.

A Death Sentence’: Biden Blasted for Approving Oil Export Project “It is peak hypocrisy for President Biden and Secretary Pete Buttigieg to shorten the fuse on the world’s largest carbon bomb by greenlighting additional oil export terminals right after lecturing the world about increasing climate ambitions at COP27,” said one critic. The Biden administration provoked national outrage this week by approving an oil export project off the coast of Texas—despite pledging to battle the climate emergency, including at COP27, the United Nations summit that just wrapped up in Egypt.

‘Greedy Behavior’ of Profit-Hungry Rail Industry Blamed for Looming Strike “The same wealthy rail industry executives that say they can’t afford to pay their workers fair wages all had banner years in net revenue and shareholder giveaways.” A new analysis shines fresh light on U.S. railroad giants’ “greedy behavior”—from gorging on their own stock to ramping up fees to pad their bottom lines—as workers struggle for basic rights and benefits in ongoing contract negotiations that could result in the first national rail strike in decades.
President Biden Intervenes in Rail Talks in Last-Ditch Effort to Head Off National Strike Biden has tried to prevent a strike and impose a sellout through the veneer of “collective bargaining” with the corrupt union apparatus, while holding the threat of congressional intervention in reserve President Biden is “directly” involved in contract talks in the rail industry, following Monday’s rejection of a White House-backed deal by members of SMART-TD, the largest rail union, the White House confirmed in a press briefing Tuesday. While the White House has been intimately involved every step of the way in the process, the fact that Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made a point of making this known shows the seriousness with which the government takes the situation. They are determined to prevent a rail strike, which Jean-Pierre described as “not acceptable.” She cynically claimed that the government’s campaign to impose a substandard deal is necessary to protect “American families” from the impact of a walkout.
US Railroaders’ Vote Against Contract Sets Stage For Conflict With Capitalist State, Union Bureaucracy Workers delivered a major blow to the authority of the White House, which brokered the deal, and are determined not to back down from their demands. The vote by tens of thousands of conductors and yardmen in SMART-TD to reject a White House-brokered contract is a major milestone in the class struggle. What is emerging in the United States, the center of world capitalism, is the biggest movement of the working class in decades. SMART-TD is the fourth and by far the largest of the 12 rail unions to have rejected the deal, patterned after the recommendations by a White House-picked mediation board. (Workers in the International Association of Machinists [IAM] rejected the contract in the initial vote, but the union claimed its narrow passage on a re-vote earlier this month.) Together, these four unions have a membership of nearly two-thirds of the 120,000 total railroad workers.
Railroad Workers Rank-And-File Committee Announces Wednesday Public Meeting: “The Way Forward After Conductors Reject White House Contract” With The Vote, The Next Stage of the fight begins. Under conditions where the rail carriers have refused to give up anything for three years, there is no avenue left for railroaders to win their demands except by launching a powerful national strike to bring the carriers to their knees. The vote by 30,000 conductors, yardmen and others in SMART-TD to reject the White House-sponsored contract is a major step forward, and a humiliating setback for the carriers, the union bureaucracy and the Biden administration. The vote was an act of defiance by the rank and file against the bureaucratic conspiracy to force through the sellout. The vote by railroaders is part of a major national and international upsurge of the working class. As railroaders were voting, tens of thousands of graduate students in California, educators in Canada, refinery workers in France and elsewhere have carried out strikes in defense of living standards and working conditions. With the vote, the next stage of the fight begins. Under conditions where the rail carriers have refused to give up anything for three years, there is no avenue left for railroaders to win their demands except by launching a powerful national strike to bring the carriers to their knees. Meanwhile, Congress will now likely try to intervene to block a strike and enforce the rejected contract. Meanwhile, the union apparatus is continuing to try to demobilize and sabotage the position of workers.

Unregulated Laissez-Faire Capitalism: Crypto Warren Warns Madness Will ‘Take Down the Economy’ If It Isn’t Regulated “FTX’s implosion should be a wake-up call,” said the Massachusetts Democrat. ” “History is littered with financial schemes promoted by criminals and charlatans who claimed that the latest and greatest tools had evolved beyond the need for regulation.”
FTX and the Crypto Collapse: The Bubble Bursts, But the Gambling Goes On Investors are calling time on cryptocurrencies, following the downfall of the FTX exchange and its founder, Sam Bankman-Fried. But this episode is only the latest in a long line of speculative bubbles – a symptom of the insanity of capitalism. The sudden and ignominious collapse of FTX, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has sent significant shockwaves throughout the highly speculative and volatile world of so-called digital assets. Bitcoin has plummeted to below US$17,000 per coin, from previous highs of almost $70,000. And other infamous cryptocurrencies have experienced similar nosedives.
Shadow Government Statistics DailyUpdate November 22nd to 28th
- IN THE NEWS: MONEY SUPPLY IS DRIVING THE SURGE IN INFLATION, DESPITE SOFTENING ANNUAL GROWTH: October 2022
- “Basic M1” Money Supply (Currency plus Checking Accounts), held 120.3% above its Pre-Pandemic Trough, minimally off peak, also holding at a 52-year high level of systemic liquidity, having absorbed and held the equivalent of 23-years of normal Monetary Stimulus in the 2.8 years since the Pandemic Shutdown.
- Even the headline Aggregate Money Supply M2 has absorbed 14-years of normal stimulus. Given that extreme, inflation bloating cannot pass easily, without some meaningful reduction in Money Supply, well beyond just slowing money growth.
Evidence Grows that Crypto and Federally-Insured Banks Are a Combustible Mixture The fallout from the collapse of the crypto exchange FTX and its missing billions of dollars of customer funds has, finally, galvanized some members of Congress to push back against the swarms of crypto lobbyists whose activities are clearly impacting the safety and soundness of U.S. banks. On Monday, Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Chair of the Senate Banking Committee, along with Senators Jack Reed (D-RI), Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), and Tina Smith (D-MN), sent a letter to federal banking regulators warning that SoFi, a federally-insured bank, potentially posed a risk to safety and soundness as a result of its digital asset trading activities. The Senators wrote as follows:

Chilean Indigenous Activist Says COP27 Promoted Devastating Mega-Projects The COP27 climate summit has pitted the human rights of Indigenous peoples against rich nations’ energy needs. The Global North’s scramble for energy-secure futures dominated the COP27 last week in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Corporate and mining lobbyists promoted high speed trains, lithium car batteries, hydrogen mega projects, and wind farms to transition from fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions while Indigenous activists resisted those same projects which are already causing irreparable environmental devastation and worsening climate change.
Cost-of-Living Catastrophe Pushes Millions Into Misery The working class in Britain faces a perfect storm of recession, inflation, and austerity. Every day, tragic stories emerge of the disaster facing ordinary people in their daily lives. This is social murder. Capitalism is killing us. The phrase ‘cost-of-living crisis’ comes nowhere close to portraying the catastrophe facing millions of us. Living standards plummet. Babies go without food and fresh nappies, and even die of mould exposure. Children go to school with empty stomachs. Parents exhaust themselves working, yet still have to choose between heating or eating. Thousands of people are going into this winter not knowing whether they will be able to pay the bills.
Education, Health, and Welfare:
The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who ‘:’, pass universal healthcare for themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be, a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People Vote on Healthcare
