Coronavirus Debt

Since World War I, ‘the war to end all wars’, there have been perpetual wars for perpetual peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”, is Still True for Today’s World!

Capitalism as a Failed  System: World Capilalism Has Been Aware of the Comming Catastrophe of Global Warming  Over 5 Decades Ago and Did Nothing!:  Under Capitalism — Human Lives Don’t Matter  Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! The  very future of Humanity Is Now At stake!During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Republicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich. Rax the Rich!  — They Can Afford To Pay!

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can’t have both.”  ― Louis Brandeis

The Secret Wars of the US Imperium To get to where they are, imperial powers will deceive, dissimulate and distort. The US imperium, that most awesome of devilish powers, has tentacled itself across the globe, often unbeknownst to its own citizens.     In a report released by the New York University School of Law’s Brennan Center of Justice titled Secret War: How the US Uses Partnerships and Proxy Forces to Wage War Under the Radar, there is little to shock, though much to be concerned about.  The author of the report contends that the list of countries supplied by the Pentagon on US military partnerships is a savagely clipped one.  The list is so wrong that 17 countries have been omitted.

Ukraine Bombed Poland — Not Rusia!: ‘Unfortunate Accident’: Polish President Says Missile That Killed Two Likely Fired by Ukraine  “There is nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest that it was an intentional attack on Poland,” Polish President Andrzej Duda told reporters. Polish President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday said the missile that killed two people in Poland the previous day was likely fired by Ukrainian defense forces as they attempted to respond to a massive barrage of Russian airstrikes.

Republicracts’ Congressional Amendment Opens Floodgates for War Profiteers and a Major Ground War on Russia If the powerful leaders of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senators Jack Reed (D) and Jim Inhofe (R), have their way, Congress will soon invoke wartime emergency powers to build up even greater stockpiles of Pentagon weapons. The amendment is supposedly designed to facilitate replenishing the weapons the United States has sent to Ukraine, but a look at the wish list contemplated in this amendment reveals a different story

Why Did Mail-in Ballots in Georgia Plunge by One Million? Absentee ballots plunged from a total of 1.28 million in November 2020 to a little over 240,000 in last week’s General Election in Georgia.      Given that mail-in ballots in Georgia favor Democrats two-to-one, it is reasonable to conclude this breathtaking 81% drop of over one million mail-in votes likely cost Sen. Raphael Warnock an outright victory. Georgia law requires a candidate to win by 50% of the vote plus one.     Though incumbent Warnock led his Republican challenger Herschel Walker by 35,202 votes, that still places him 23,000 votes short of the 50% threshold. As a result, Warnock is now forced into a runoff with Republican Herschel Walker.     Despite its massive size, the one-million vote decline was fogged over by press releases by Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State who announced, “Georgia’s record breaking early turnout concluded with 2,288,889 voters casting their ballot during Early Voting.”     How could the media have missed the one-million vote elephant that disappeared from the room? Without reading the fine print — early voting reports commonly include absentee ballots received — this supposed jump in early voting was quoted without qualification.

How the Fossil Fuel Industry Buys Goodwill From sports to academia to the arts, fossil fuel companies are pouring money on the things we love, in an effort to “not be held accountable” for climate chaos. From the world’s biggest soccer championship to soccer training for kids, from major universities to music festivals and art galleries — if you can name it, fossil fuel companies have probably sponsored it.     TotalEnergies will sponsor the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France. Aramco has partnered with Spain’s Laguna de El Hito Nature Reserve to conserve bird species. Chevron partnered with a “Community Inclusion” social project in Brazil. BP has donated to the British Museum in London since 1996.       Big Oil sponsorships can even be found at the heart of international climate negotiations. Hassan Allam, an Egyptian private corporation with a mission of “transforming the country into a regional hub for natural gas” is a sponsor of the annual United Nations climate conference, known as COP27,  being held this year in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

More than 300 million people – 93% of the population – live in these counties.

Global Heating to Drive Stronger La Niña And El Niño Events by 2030, Researchers Say New modelling suggests climate change-driven variability will be detectable decades earlier than previously expected Stronger La Niña and El Niño events due to global heating will be detectable in the eastern Pacific Ocean by 2030, decades earlier than previously expected, new modelling suggests.     Researchers have analysed 70 years of reliable sea surface temperature records in the Pacific Ocean to model changes in the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (Enso) under current projections of global heating

Shadow Government Statistics Daily Update November 15th = 16th  , INFLATION PROBLEMS ARE ABOUT TO SOAR ANEW (November 15th). As an early bounce in gasoline and oil prices begins to surface, with the extreme Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) depletion shutting down in December, October 2022 PPI Finished Goods inflation (the only meaningful PPI aggregate) turned higher month-to-month by an adjusted 0.61%, versus 0.34% in September and a 1.05% (-1.05%) drop in August, dominated by monthly Energy inflation up by 2.69%, with both measures at four-month peaks. Nonetheless, where annual October 2022 Goods inflation of 10.53% still held well shy of its extreme June 2022 reading of 17.65%, it otherwise still was at a 41-year high and likely headed much higher, again, with the rebounding energy prices.

FTX Was Creating Money Out of Thin Air Like the Fed; and Trading Its Own “Stock” Like the Wall Street Mega Banks in their Dark Pools On June 10 of last year, Wall Street On Parade penned this headline: Seven Years after Michael Lewis Described on National TV How the U.S. Stock Market Is Rigged, SEC Chair Gensler Says He’s Going to Tackle Market Structure. Unfortunately for confidence in U.S. markets, that’s yet to happen. And it’s not just the fault of Gensler. The Senate Banking Committee and House Financial Services Committee that should be holding in-depth hearings on the most corrupted market structure since 1929 have opted instead to hold superficial hearings each time something blows up as a result of that corrupted market structure, but never actually get around to tackling the corrupt market structure itself.

FTX Partnership With Ukraine Is Latest Chapter in Shady Western Aid Saga The Ukrainian government mysteriously disappeared online records of its fundraising arrangement with the FTX crypto scam just days before the scandal erupted. The initiative claims to have raised $60 million for Ukraine, but where did the money go?The demise of FTX, the fifth-biggest cryptocurrency exchange by trade volume in 2022, and the second-largest by holdings, has sent a wave of chaos through global financial markets.

The 1%’s Governments: Secrecy Enabled by Rich Countries Lets Corporations Dodge $90 Billion in Taxes Per Year “They’re choosing to protect the cherries on the cakes of the richest corporations while people worry about putting food on the table,” said one tax justice campaigner. The Tax Justice Network’s latest assessment of the state of global taxation castigates the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)—often described as “the rich countries’ club”—for failing to uphold basic tax transparency standards in the decade since the G20 directed OECD nations to collect and disclose country-by-country data on corporate profit shifting.

Rising Public Anger Amid Economic Crisis in Hungary In April 2022, Viktor Orbán secured a fourth consecutive electoral victory in Hungary. His party, Fidesz, won over 54 percent of the vote, the highest vote share by any party since the restoration of capitalism in Hungary. But a lot can change in seven months. Now, public discontent with the economic crisis is rising, and the working class and youth are beginning to take action, despite the government’s divisive demagogy.

Education, Health, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who ‘:’, pass universal healthcare for themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare

New Study Warns Declining Sperm Counts ‘Could Threaten Humanity’s Survival’ “The primary suspect,” said the paper’s lead author, “is a mother’s exposure to man-made chemicals during pregnancy.     Published by an international team of researchers in Human Reproduction Update, the study analyzed data from 57,000 men in 53 countries, with results suggesting that average global sperm concentration declined from an estimated 101.2 million per milliliter in 1973 to 49 m/ml in 2018—a drop of 51.6%—while total sperm counts decreased by 62.3% over the same period.     The paper updates and enhances previous research that was limited in scope to North America, Europe, and Australia. The new paper found that for the first time, men in Africa, Asia, and Latin America are experiencing similar sperm declines as those in the three previously studied regions.

COVID: At Least 4.4 Million Adults are Currently Disabled by Long COVID  The Long Reach of Long COVID: At Least 4.4 Million Adults are Currently Disabled by Long COVID Though much of the focus throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been on the acute impacts of the disease, a growing body of evidence suggests that many who survive their initial infection continue to suffer ill effects, a phenomenon referred to as Long COVID.
