The Military Solution is Always the Same

Another Example Capitalism as a Failed  System: World Capilalism Ws Aware of the Danger of Cornovavirus Threat Over 5 Years Ago and Did Nothing!:  Under Capitalism — Human Lives Don’t Matter

Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading  Racism,  War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The future of Humanity Is Now At stake!

Since World War I ‘The War To End All Wars’ There Have Been Perpetual Wars for Perpetual Peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”, is Still True for Today’s World!During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can’t have both— Louis D. Brandeis

Democracy?: As the Capitalist Robber Barons Steal from the 99%,  Only the 1% Voted For Austerity!   The 99% Should Decide On Austerity — Not Just The 1%, Who Profit From Austerity!!  Under Austerity, All of the World Will Eventually Be Pauperized, Humbled, and Desecrated Like Greece and Puerto Rico.!   Socialism Means True Democracy, that the 99% Will Rule, Not the Few!

Quotes of the Day:

U.S. Capitalists’ Military Industrial Complex is the Largest Source of Greenhouse Gases/Global Warming!:  Critics, such as Derik Broekhoff, a senior scientist at the Stockholm Environment Institute, argue that net zero strategies still have fundamental shortcomings due to a lack of net zero standards. Additionally, some net zero strategies fail to include all greenhouse gases or all economic sectors, creating more loopholes and exceptions. In failing to include armed forces in a binding matter, the world’s militaries and associated industries are effectively ignored. In 2019, the US military was “the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions in the world,” according to the Brown University Costs of War project. A 2019 study by the Conflict and Environment Observatory and Scientists for Global Responsibility estimates that US military forces emitted 205 million tons of carbon dioxide- equivalent greenhouse gas emissions (CO2-eq), while the EU was responsible for 24.8 million tons of CO2- eq.The Military-Industrial Complex pressured by Climate Change

International Trade and Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) with Keen, Hudson Keen: I think I take it over a different angle and say that the global politics we’ve had over the last 80-100 years, actually, since the dominance of America, which we pretty much say from the end of the Second World War, has been completely oblivious to the impact we’re having on the planet. The biosphere itself. And the biggest political player on the planet is the biosphere.     And that’s going to start determining what the wars are in future. And I don’t think any country in the world is prepared for that battle. China has maybe probably the most effective capacity to respond to the challenges that are coming this way, but there’s no way America or Russia or anywhere in Europe are aware of the threats they face.     This is a warfare against an implacable foe which we’ve created by destroying the sustainability of the biosphere, by expanding human industry to three to four times the scale that the planet could actually support. That’s the real war that is coming our way.     [Hudson: And Steve, you mentioned how global shipping and trade adds to the global warming. Obviously, the military spending is a huge, huge factor. So the Americans and the Green Parties of Europe are on the wrong side of history. They are doing just the opposite of preserving de-development. They are the advocates of more and more global warming. So literally, you have a group, a bloc, wanting to destroy the environment and a bloc trying to protect itself from the Western destruction.

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Reublicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! Palestinians Face Forced Expulsions as Biden Pledges Allegian

Marjorie Cohn: Palestinians Face Forced Expulsions as Biden Pledges Allegiance to Israel Biden promised Israel $3.8 billion in annual military aid to maintain the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands. resident Joe Biden’s much-heralded visit to Jerusalem has confirmed that the United States remains Israel’s enabler-in-chief. Biden promised to continue providing Israel with $3.8 billion in annual military aid (more than the U.S. gives any other country) to maintain the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory.     Pledging to “stand with the Jewish and democratic State of Israel,” Biden ignored the exclusion of the Palestinian people from Israel’s “democracy,” which extends only to Jewish people. Palestinians do not enjoy the same democratic rights as Jews. As Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the Israeli human rights group B’Tselem recently affirmed, Israel is an apartheid state.

Prophets of War Lockheed Martin and the Making of the Military-Industrial Complex  When President Dwight D. Eisenhower gave his famous warning about the dangers of the military-industrial complex, he never would have dreamed that a single company could accumulate the kind of power and influence that is now wielded by Lockheed Martin. As a full-service weapons maker, Lockheed Martin receives over $29 billion a year in Pentagon contracts, or roughly one out of every ten dollars the Department of Defense doles out to private contractors. Prophets of War recounts the fascinating and often-frightening history of America’s largest military contractor as well as its role in the formation of foreign policy.     The company has produced spy satellites; helped the Pentagon collect personal data on U.S. citizens; provided interrogators for employment at Guantanamo Bay; manufactured our highest-tech aircraft; and more. It has also been embroiled in numerous scandals — from bribing officials in the Netherlands, Italy, and Japan in exchange for the purchase of Lockheed airplanes in the 1970s, to the provision of $600 toilet covers and $7,000 coffee makers to the Pentagon in the 1980s.     William D. Hartung’s enthralling exposé chronicles the growth of Lockheed Martin into one of the most influential corporations in the world, and examines the pivotal role the company has had in America’s metastasizing military industrial complex. It asks: How has one company become the recipient of such a large portion of America’s tax dollars through contracts with the Pentagon, NASA, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Energy, the NSA, and even the U.S. Census and the IRS? Hartung’s meticulous, hard-hitting history follows Lockheed Martin’s meteoric growth and unravels how this arms industry giant has helped shape U.S. foreign policy for decades.

It’s been a little over a week since the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, where 19 students and two teachers were killed at Robb Elementary School. While the entire nation is reeling, the tragedy is hitting Latinos particularly hard, as they see the names and the photos of victims who look and sound like them.    That’s added a complicated layer of grief and trauma onto the community, says Maria Maldonado Morales, a clinical social worker at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. The shooting in Uvalde isn’t the first to target Latinos in the country — or even in Texas. The 2019 shooting at a Walmart store in El Paso, in which 23 people died, was also racially motivated.     “It’s not only the loss of life, the loss of safety, but I think the community that we feel as sort of Latinos in the United States adds a layer of frustration, of sadness, of anger even,” Morales says. “The clients that I see – I work with primarily Latino students in school settings – and many of them have said … these kids look like me. This could have been me, or this could have been my family, or this could have been us.”  — What the Shooting in Uvalde Has Meant for the Latino Community

Uvalde report: 400 officers but ‘egregiously poor’ decisions Nearly 400 law enforcement officials rushed to a mass shooting at a Uvalde elementary school, but “egregiously poor decision-making” resulted in more than an hour of chaos before the gunman who took 21 lives was finally confronted and killed, according to a damning investigative report released Sunday. The nearly 80-page report was the first to criticize both state and federal law enforcement, and not just local authorities in the South Texas town for the bewildering inaction by heavily armed officers as a gunman fired inside a fourth-grade classroom at Robb Elementary School.

The FBI Is Still Targeting Black People for Entrapment The COINTELPRO era never ended, as Black people bear the brunt of FBI surveillance. The war on terror gave a new rationale for using paid informants to entrap Black people. Romeo Langhorne is the latest victim of a government-created crime. Romeo Langhorne is the latest victim of an FBI phony terror entrapment scheme. On July 7, 2022 he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for uploading a bomb-making video. Langhorne didn’t make a bomb. He uploaded a video while under the direction of an FBI informant. The video had in fact been produced by the government.

‘This new era of the world presents enormous challenges. It is possible—maybe even probable—that the world system will disintegrate!’:  Finally, domestic policy Maintaining an open trading system will be impossible without better domestic institutions and policies aimed at educating the public about the costs of protection and helping all those adversely affected by major economic changes. In their absence, misinformed nationalism will inevitably sever the trade links that have brought such benefits to the world.   This new era of the world presents enormous challenges. It is possible—maybe even probable—that the world system will disintegrate. In such a world, billions of people will lose hope for a better future and shared global challenges will remain unfulfilled. World trade is only one element in this picture. But it is an important one. The idea of liberal trade subject to multilateral rules was noble. It must not be lost. Collective Statement: Biden in Occupied Palestine and the “Jerusalem Declaration” – Our Response is Struggle and Solidarity Today, we’re joining with over 80 organizations in a firm, clear collective rejection of the Biden-Lapid “Jerusalem Declaration,” a document that promotes only occupation, colonialism and warmongering. We are committed to responding to this “strategic partnership” — threatening not only Palestine, but our world, as the statement notes, “with a peoples’ alliance: that is, an alliance that firmly rejects imperialism and Zionism, that builds the very boycott campaigns they seek to undermine or even criminalize, that supports the Palestinian people and their resistance by all means, and that stands together against the systems of domination, injustice, settler colonialism and exploitation that they represent.”     We also invite you to read and share our longer response and analysis of the declaration.     Our movement faces powerful forces. However, they have tried and failed to suppress the Palestinian liberation movement for 75 years, and they will continue to fail today.

Britain in Crisis: Prepare For Revolutionary Explosions The resignation of Boris Johnson has opened up a new chapter in the crisis of British capitalism. The working class is reawakening. A new generation is moving into struggle. We must build the forces of Marxism to prepare for these titanic events. The world situation, the background to understanding the processes in Britain, is increasingly turbulent, as the global economy slides into another recession.      The whole position has been aggravated by the war in the Ukraine, which is having far reaching consequences by pushing up the price of oil and gas. The serious strategists of capitalism are alarmed at this impasse.“This new epoch of the world is creating huge challenges,” warned Martin Wolf in the Financial Times (28 June 2022).

Education, Health, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who pass universal healthcare for  themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare!
