In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading  Racism,  War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The future of Humanity Is Now At stake!Since World War I, ‘the war to end all wars’, there have been perpetual wars for perpetual peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”, is Still True for Today’s World!During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

Neo-Nazi Threat in New Ukraine: Newsnight

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Reublicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The United States takes from th poor and gives to the Rich. Tax the Rich!  — They Can Afford to Pay!

How the Narcotic of Defense Spending Undermines a Sensible Grand Strategy The Military-Industrial-Congressional-Complex’s (MICC) grand-strategic chickens are coming home to roost big time. While war is bad, the Russo-Ukrainian War has the champagne corks quietly popping in the Pentagon, on K Street, in the defense industry, and throughout the halls of Congress.  Taxpayers are going to be paying for their party for a long time.      It is no accident that the United States is on the cusp of the Second Cold War.

Capitalism, Nationalism, and Copaganda: Biden’s First State of the Union Joe Biden’s first State of the Union address reveled in nationalism, vague promises, and anti-Russian rhetoric. But, behind all the sloganeering, the speech revealed that Biden intends to stay the course on his disastrous governing strategy of empty promises that have categorically failed the working class and oppressed. In a room filled with maskless war criminals and Ukrainian flags, President Joe Biden said, in perhaps the most obvious sentence ever spoken in that chamber, that he was a capitalist. That’s not shocking to anyone, but it is a wonder that he had to say it, given that every other element of his speech was so focused on protecting American capitalism and imperialism. From defending NATO, to arguing for a more productive U.S. economy, to shouting out the CEO of Intel (who was, inexplicably, in the room for the speech), Biden doubled down on his campaign promise that “nothing would fundamentally change.”

Why ‘Progressive’ Lawmakers in the US Must Call for the Impeachment of Joe Biden  TO: Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar,  Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush On February 11th, US President Joe Biden announced that the United States will steal seven billion dollars of Afghanistan’s currently frozen assets. This act of theft guarantees the collapse of Afghanistan’s central bank, and an increase in instability and the starvation of perhaps the most stricken people on earth.     Over the past twenty years, the death toll from the US war in Afghanistan may well be in the low millions. Rather than pay reparations to the victims of the US occupation, the US is sadistically punishing the victims through deliberate economic warfare. One hardly needs to be a legal expert to know that impunity for these acts is not allowed under US or international law. Biden’s action is both inhumane and lawless.

Environment —Ecosocialism or Ecocide!:

Toxic Tuesdays PFAS:   Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a class of chemicals that have been used since the 1950s in firefighting foams and many consumer products that includes firefighting foams, stain- and water-resistant fabrics, nonstick cookware and food packaging. PFAS chemicals are highly stable, so when they are released, people can be exposed through air, dust, food, and water resulting in widespread exposure. Many types of PFAS are known to have adverse health effects on humans including increased cholesterol levels, changes in liver enzymes, decreased vaccine response in children, increased risk of high blood pressure in pregnant women, and decreased birth weight. Epidemiologic studies also suggest a link between exposure to certain types of PFAS and increased rates of kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer.

PFAS Pollution Led yo Contamination of US Drinking Water Wells, Study Finds PFAS chemicals detected in 20% of private wells and 60% of public wells sampled in 16 eastern states Pollution by toxic PFAS “forever chemicals” in America’s aquifer system has led to widespread contamination of private and public drinking water wells, data from a new study by the US Geological Survey finds. The study, published in Environmental Science and Technology, detected PFAS chemicals in 20% of private wells and 60% of public wells sampled in 16 eastern states, and offered new insights on how to predict which drinking water sources may be contaminated.

How ‘Forever Chemicals’ are Using Marine Life to Travel the World by Sea First it was PCBs, now it’s PFAS – harmful toxic pollutants that do not biodegrade are affecting ecosystems around the globe When scientists found women in the remote Faroe Islands had unusually high concentrations of toxic industrial chemicals in their breast milk, it seemed a surprising discovery. The north Atlantic archipelago, which lies between Iceland and the northern tip of Scotland, is far from sources of industrial or chemical pollution. And the chemicals that the 2005 Stockholm University study measured, which included polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), had already been phased out in many countries.

Britain: Starmer, The Left, and the War – Time to Make a Stand! ‘Sir’ Keir Starmer has cynically used Russia’s attack on Ukraine as an excuse to attack the anti-imperialist left, and to prove his loyalty to the establishment. The labour movement must fight the enemy at home, not the ‘enemy within’.     Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Britain’s capitalist media and politicians – the mouthpieces and representatives of the ruling class – have launched into a veritable war frenzy.     This comes on top of weeks of sabre-rattling rhetoric. But now war is here, the dial has been turned all the way to 11 on this bellicose, pro-imperialist propaganda.

Testing New Weapon Systems: Meaning of the Russian Military Intervention into Ukraine  “Now we have a situation that is unique in modern history when they are trying to catch up to us. Not a single country has hypersonic weapons, let alone hypersonic weapons of intercontinental range.  At this time in history Russia is now leading the world in developing an entire new class of weapons unlike in the past when it was catching up with the United States.” – Vladimir Putin  2019. —Introduction — This boast of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, in 2019, with respect to the hypersonic weapons capacity of the Russian Federation provides one of the back stories for understanding the present conflagration that has escalated in the Ukraine theater of the European war. The Russian capabilities in relation to Electronic Magnetic Pulse (EMP) warfare along with the cyberweapons have never been tested in an all-out military/information/financial confrontation. The entanglement of non-nuclear weapons with nuclear weapons and their enabling capabilities is exacerbating the risk of a global war, especially in the face of the US fear of the closer technological and financial cooperation between China and Russia. The Ukraine invasion and the escalation of that war has brought to the forefront the questions of disarmament so that both the leaders of NATO and the leaders of the Russian Federation do not bring humanity to the brink of violence and deaths that will come out of a protracted war.

There’s No Justification for Russia’s Aggression, But US Double Standards on Illegal War Are Hard to Stomach Nothing can excuse Putin’s invasion, but the hypocrisy coming out of Washington, D.C. could hardly be more striking. Though U.S. and NATO policy in recent years has contributed to the current tragedy unfolding in Ukraine, responsibility rests unequivocally with the Kremlin. It is an illegal war of aggression which has quite deservedly resulted in worldwide condemnation. Media coverage has been sympathetic to the civilian victims of the invasion and the Ukrainian resistance. Again, while it raises questions about why there hasn’t been a comparable response when the victims weren’t white, Christian Europeans, or when the aggressor was the United States or a U.S. ally, it is refreshing to see this acknowledgement of the horrors of war.

Education, Health, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who pass universal healthcare for  themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare!
