Climate Change: Way Beyond the 350CO2 ‘Tipping Point’:  The CO2 level is now  413.10 CO2 ppm!Since World War I, ‘the war to end all wars’, there have been perpetual wars for perpetual peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel (Fascism)!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Another Example of Capitalism as a Failed System: World Capitalism Was Aware of the Danger of Cornovavirus Threat Over 5 Years Ago and Did Nothing!:  Under Capitalism — Human Lives Don’t Matter  Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading  Racism,  War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The Future of Humanity Is Now At stake!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

Democracy?: As the Capitalist Robber Barons Steal from the 99%,  Only the 1% Voted For Austerity!   The 99% Should Decide On Austerity — Not Just The 1% Who, Profit From Austerity!!  Under Austerity, All of the World Will Eventually Be Pauperized, Humbled, and Desecrated Like Greece and Puerto Rico.!   Socialism Means True Democracy, that the 99% Will Rule, Not the Few!

Quotes of the Day:

‘Herd Immunity’: The SARS-CoV-2 (Covid19)  Virus develops ‘herd immunity’ to to treatments/vaccines faster than humans  develope ‘herd immunity’ to the virus!  The flu virus proves this point! — humans have not achieved ‘herd immunity’ to the Flu!  That is why we have to get Glu shots every year for the new adaptation of the Flue virus

The United States, however, has the world’s largest economy, the fifth-highest per-capita income, and is a technological powerhouse. How, then, could the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) have given our water infrastructure (pipes, pumping stations, reservoirs, and purification and recycling facilities) a shocking C-grade in their 2021 “report card”? How to explain why Yale University’s Environmental Performance Index ranked the U.S. only 26th globally when it comes to the quality of its drinking water and sanitation?     Worse yet, two million Americans still have no running water and indoor plumbing. Native Americans are 19 times more likely to lack this rudimentary amenity than Whites; Latinos and African Americans, twice as likely. On average, Americans use 82 gallons of water daily; Navajos, seven — or the equivalent of about five flushes of a toilet. Moreover, many Native Americans must drive miles to fetch fresh water, making regular handwashing, a basic precaution during the Covid-19 pandemic, just one more hardship. — The Politics of Water

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through. their ownership of the Reublicrats, who profit from war and the war budget, voted for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! Every ‘Tax. Reform’ From President Kennedy has Been an incrase in taxes from the Poor, the Woking Class, and the Middle Class, to the Rich! —The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich.  Tax the Rich!  — They Can Afford To Pay!

‘Infuriating’ Report Reveals ‘Breathtaking Cover-Up’ of US Airstrike That Killed Syrian Civilians “This NYT report on the cover-up of U.S. war crimes in Syria should make your blood boil. The U.S. wantonly kills civilians, covers it up, and then tells other countries how ‘democracy’ works.”Biden to the World: ‘Burn Baby Burn!’: After COP26, Biden Administration to Auction Off Gulf Mexico for Offshore Drilli  More than 250 environmental and Indigenous groups urged President Joe Biden to cancel the auction this week.   The Biden administration is preparing to auction off more than 80 million acres of the Gulf of Mexico to oil and gas drilling companies less than a week after the United Nations COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland, where global negotiations over plans to reduce fossil fuel emissions faced an official deadline on Friday.

Another Big Lie: Russiagate1;  Aaron Maté: New Indictments Expose Democrats’ Russiagate Obsession as a Historic Hoax The Canadian journalist joins Robert Scheer to discuss the damning new Justice Department evidence that the Hillary Clinton campaign conspired to finance and promote the totally fraudulent “Steele Dossier.” After the 2016 general election, which saw Hillary Clinton defeated by Donald Trump, Democrats scrambled for someone to blame other than themselves. Rather than reflect on their many betrayals of the working class that once made up the core of their voting base, Democrats and their most fervent media allies quickly pointed the finger at an old enemy: Russia. What became known as the “Steele dossier,” which MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow breathlessly claimed was based on “deep cover sources inside Russia,” was widely reported in mass media. It now turns out, according to the Justice Department indictment released this week, the contents of the dossier were in fact a deliberately concocted lie now denounced as a fraud by the FBI.

A Dystopian Hellscape Beckons: 21 Dark Clouds Over 2021 Amerika Some of those willing to look may have noticed that dark clouds of fascism are forming over the United States like never before. How so? Let me count the ways – 21 to be exact: +1. The Fascist Beast is Uncaged and Chomping at the Bit for Vengeance For details on the distinct likelihood of the fascist Trump’s distinctly possible and tragic if absurd return to power along with an absurdly Republican-Amerikaner Congress and Supreme Court, please see my latest Counterpunch commentary. The deeply conservative and gas-emitting octogenarian Joe Biden’s approval rating is down to a pathetic 38% ten months into his ill-fated presidency. Biden’s horrific vice president Kamala “Do Not Come” Harris has sunk below Dick Cheney to 28%. Republican voter suppression and nullification ducks are being lined up in a nice authoritarian row across Red State America. Seven in ten USAers say the nation is on the wrong track. The Amerikaner Party of Trump (the GOP) is posed to take back Congress in 2023, also helping grease the skids for Trumpzilla II: The Revenge of Malignant Orange. The Trumpenstein is chomping at the bit to come back and unleash white armed male rage like never before. The Mar a Lago crime boss is already beating Biden in match-up polls. So what if he was rightly impeached twice during a monumentally corrupt and white-supremacist presidency that included, among other terrible things:

The Federal Poverty Line Struggles to Capture the Economic Hardship that Half of Americans Face As a sociologist concerned with inequality, I spent one year conducting field work and interviews across the country for my recent book, which examines how Americans cope with economic struggles amid stagnant wages and rising costs of living.     Nearly everyone I interviewed worked multiple service industry jobs. Yet I didn’t meet anyone who thought of themselves as poor.     More commonly they referred to themselves as the struggling class:     They struggle economically and hold an often unfounded hope that things will get better. But you can’t work your way out of poverty in low-wage jobs.Low-wage jobs in the 21st century are not only the lowest rung on a career ladder, they are often the only rung.

he US Forest Service has Become the US Fire Service As we all now know catastrophic climate change is fueling catastrophic fires around the globe, including hideous fires out West that consume towns, take lives, destroy dreams, scorch soil, release carbon, warm planet Rather than address the underlying causes of climate change (burning things) The US Congress has decided to focus instead on putting out fires (that are the inevitable result of an ever warming planet) by throwing money at them. Congress has offered the Forest Service an enormous pot of money ($14 Billion – with a B – in the current Reconciliation package) with which to put them out. Fire “management” accounts for more than half of the entire Forest Service budget and so every National Forest in the country is either putting out fires (which is not really possible with megafires out West – try to save lives and homes; pray for rain) or finding reasons to burn the forests they have, or both.

Environment:

We should have learned this in Copenhagen, when someone fiddled that the movement was dead and we danced to their tune. We should definitely have learned it when last year the COP was postponed. We should have learned it this year, with the further practical delay, which is all the COP will ever deliver: delay, delay, delay and in the near future, regret. The process of delay was meant to and did create conformity. That is now all behind us. Their agenda and calendar can not and will not be ours anymore. We, the climate justice movement, need to create our own agenda and our own plans. We, as a movement, need to be discussing our power and our own program without fear, instead of discussing the official COP and governmental plans. We are now rid of the heavy anchor that prevented us from being the movement that will, in fact, uproot the capitalist system. — COP Is Dead. Long Live the Movement!

Leaders at COP26 Are ‘Massively Killing the Paris Agreement,’ Critics Say as Talks Drag On Past Deadline “The deal on the table is a death sentence for millions of those on the frontlines.” Despite warnings from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and climate scientists around the world that allowing the Earth’s temperature to rise above the 1.5°C threshold will lead to irreversible damage to the environment and will prove deadly for people in frontline communities across the globe, experts say the negotiations during COP26 have put the planet on track for warming between 1.8°C and 2.5°C. . . , “As the clock ticks on COP26 and the window closes to keep warming below 1.5°C,” said Corporate Accountability, “the climate justice movement has provided an alternate decision to governments—there is still time to act.”

Activists Slam ‘Weasel Words’ in New COP26 Text as Negotiators Water Down Climate Deal Pledges will not stop the planet from warming. Only immediate and drastic action will pull us back from the abyss. “The oily imprints of fossil fuel influence” are all over an updated draft text, climate leaders warned.

Facing Climate Collapse at the Eleventh Hour The 30 senators and 109 representatives who doubt climate change are a disaster waiting to happen. Whether that disaster takes the form of 120-degree summer weather across the Midwest or commuters up to their necks in water in the flooded N.Y.C. subway or houses swept into gullies in the next Tennessee inundation, whichever it is, humanity doesn’t have time for these congressional dimwits. These 139 politicos don’t believe their own senses, scientific proof and the catastrophic evidence all around that the world is warming and that human fossil-fuel burning caused it. Those that do have brains know very well they have been bribed to squawk their disbelief. In other words, if not idiots, they are corrupt. They don’t care if the world broils, so long as they pocket their donations.

Over 84 Million People Forcibly Displaced by Climate Emergency, Insecurity, and Violence “The international community must redouble its efforts to make peace, and at the same time must ensure resources are available to displaced communities and their hosts.” A United Nations agency revealed Thursday that a rising number of people worldwide are fleeing violence, insecurity, and the effects of the climate emergency, with over 84 million relocating within and beyond their home countries during the first half of this year. The new U.N. Refugee Agency, or UNHCR, report—released at the tail end of a global climate summit—says that “durable solutions for forcibly displaced populations remained in short supply due to unresolved and escalating conflicts in many countries of origin, as well as the continuing restrictions on movement in response to Covid-19.”

Wall Street Is Not Only Rigging Markets, It’s Also Rigging the Outcome of its Private Trials When it comes to sycophants, Wall Street has no shortage of them willing to shill for its egregious private justice system called mandatory arbitration – a system which systematically guts the guarantee of a jury trial under the Seventh Amendment of the Bill of Rights. Think about that carefully, the industry that is serially charged with rigging markets and other felonious acts, is allowed by Congress to run its own privatized justice system. This is something one would expect to find in a banana republic, not in a country that lectures the rest of the world on democratic principles. Wall Street’s private justice system effectively locks the nation’s courthouse doors to both its workers and customers, sending the claims before conflicted arbitrators who do not have to follow legal precedent, case law or write legally-reasoned decisions.World:

As Climate Emergency Worsens, Freak Storm Sends Snow, Scorpion Plague on Egypt’s Aswan Egyptian climate scientists have no doubt that the Aswan storm was a manifestation of human-driven climate change, and they say that the old Egypt people grew up with is being altered.

Health, Education, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who pass universal healthcare for themselves, but cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare!

Documents Expose ‘Staggering Pattern of Political Interference’ in Trump’s Covid-19 Response “Top elected officials preferred to keep Americans in the dark and set policy based on political considerations, not science,” said one former CDC adviser.
