Quotes of the Day:
Of the Christian colonial system, W. Howitt, a man who makes a speciality of Christianity, says: “The barbarities and desperate outrages of the so-called Christian race, throughout every region of the world, and upon every people they have been able to subdue, are not to be paralleled by those of any other race, however fierce, however untaught, and however reckless of mercy and of shame, in any age of the earth.” — Karl Marx, Capital”, Volume One, Part VIII, Chapter 31, (the) “Genesis of the Industrial Capitalist

XCheck Your Privilege (E1752) In this episode of Keiser Report, Max and Stacy look at the two-tier social justice system whereby the powerful and the famous are exempt from the consequences of their ‘terms of service’ violations, unlike the millions of deplorables. In the second half, Max continues his interview with Pierre Noizat of Paymium.com about entropy, money and bitcoin.
United States:
The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through. their ownership of the Reublicrats, who profit from war and the war budget, voted for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War! Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! Every ‘Tax. Reform’ From President Kennedy has Been an incrase in taxes from the Poor, the Woking Class, and the Middle Class, to the Rich! —The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich. Tax the Rich! — They Can Afford To Pay!
The U.S.-China Trade War Has Become a Cold War The U.S.-China trade war hasn’t brought major economic wins to either country. For the United States, it may be time to focus on economic policy at home first. What began as a trade war over China’s unfair economic policies has now evolved into a so-called cold war propelled by differing ideologies. U.S.-China bilateral relations took a nosedive in 2018 when then U.S. president Donald Trump’s obsession with trade deficits led him to impose punitive tariffs on China. The tariffs were followed by restrictions on both China’s access to high-tech U.S. products and foreign investments involving security concerns and by allegations of unfair Chinese commercial practices. Despite pleas from the U.S. business community to ease tensions, U.S. President Joe Biden so far has amplified his predecessor’s policies by strengthening anti-China alliances and implementing additional sanctions. Biden now characterizes the U.S.-China conflict as “a battle between the utility of democracies in the twenty-first century and autocracies.” But the logic underpinning the U.S. trade war was flawed, and the more recent, politically driven restrictions are counterproductive given the damaging long-term economic consequences for both sides. Nonetheless, there have been few signs to date that Biden is likely to change course. In the meantime, then, Europeans may be in a better position for productive give-and-take discussions with China on economic policymaking.Treatment of Haiti Refugees Must Reflect Our Deepest Sense of Humanity Once more the plight of Haitian refugees tests the measure of this administration’s and this country’s humanity. Will the U.S. simply dump thousands of the displaced in a country that has no way to protect them? When It Comes to Letting Down Allies, Trumpism and Bidenism Have Much in Common Trumpism was never quite what it seemed to the rest of the world when it came to America’s actions as opposed to his words. The tone was always belligerent, but Trump went out of his way not to start any wars. As for the slogan “America First”, this was not so much about an isolationist US and more about the US acting unilaterally in what Trump saw as its own best interests. Bidenism is turning out to be not so very different from Trumpism. Joe Biden carried out to the letter Donald Trump’s ruthless deal with the Taliban, agreed in February 2020, to abandon the Afghan government, which had been excluded from negotiations about its fate.
How Corporate Profiteers Won the War on Terror The Post-9/11 years have been an unmitigated disaster for nearly everyone—but not the weapons makers and other Pentagon contractors. The costs and consequences of America’s twenty-first-century wars have by now been well-documented — a staggering $8 trillion in expenditures and more than 380,000 civilian deaths, as calculated by Brown University’s Costs of War project. The question of who has benefited most from such an orgy of military spending has, unfortunately, received far less attention.
Environment: Capitalists Has Been Cutting Down The World’s Forests for Over 500 Years!: As Big Forests Shrink, The Carbon Leaks and the Heat Rises The world’s greatest forests are turning to patchwork. The patches get more frequent, the carbon leaks and the heat rises. The world’s tropical forests are getting smaller, and this process may be inexorable. That is because, in effect, the great rainforest canopies are being shredded into ever-smaller pieces. As this happens the carbon leaks, the heat rises. In other words every year, a greater proportion of natural intact forest becomes a forest edge. And researchers have demonstrated, repeatedly, that canopy up to 100 metres from the edge of any forest becomes less effective at storing carbon, maintaining moisture and conserving biodiversity. At the beginning of this century, researchers report in the journal Science Advances, they pored over high-resolution forest cover maps of the globe to count 131 million fragments of the forest: that is forest subdivided by roads, or mining and quarrying works, or plantations, or clearance for logging, or for plantations or ranches. In just 10 years, this number had reached 152 million.Black Liberation/Civil Rights:
Supreme Court Announces Date for Case Directly Challenging Roe v. Wade “The fate of Roe v. Wade and legal abortion is on the line.” Abortion rights advocates geared up for a major fight as the U.S. Supreme Court announced Monday it will soon hear arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case in Mississippi which poses a direct challenge to Roe vs. Wade. The high court confirmed it will consider the case December 1 after months of speculation regarding when it would take up the dispute over Mississippi’s ban on most abortion care after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
Cruel and Unusual Treatment: At Rikers Island, Inmates Locked in Showers Without Food And Defecating in Bags Two years of fearmongering over criminal justice reform led to a humanitarian crisis at the notorious New York City jails. JAIL OFFICIALS KNEW that state legislators were going to be touring Rikers Island on September 13. But if they made any effort to disguise the degree of degradation and danger that pervades New York City’s jail complex, it didn’t show. Lawmakers and the people who accompanied them returned from their visit visibly shaken. “There’s a segregated intake unit that we walked through where they have people held in showers,” said Alice Fontier, managing director for Neighborhood Defender Services, who toured one Rikers building, the Otis Bantum Correctional Center, with lawmakers. “It’s about 2 feet wide by 6 feet. There is no toilet. They’ve given them plastic bags to use for feces and urine. And they’re sitting in the cells with their own bodily waste locked into these conditions. This is the most horrific thing I’ve seen in my life. I’ve been coming to this jail since 2008. This is unlike anything that has ever happened here.Labor:

Banisters FeastWelcome to the Banksters Wall Street Ball: Wall Street Watchdog, Better Markets, Calls Fed Presidents’ Trading Binge “Pandemic Profiteering” or, Possibly, “Illegal Insider Trading” Fortunately for Americans, the keen-eyed Wall Street watchdog group, Better Markets, is not living in the same alternative reality universe as the cable financial news network, CNBC.Last Friday, CNBC published a crazy headline regarding Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan trading tens of millions of dollars of individual stocks and S&P 500 futures in 2020 while Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren traded in and out of REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts). The trading occurred despite both men being privy to non-public, market moving information coming from the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States. CNBC’s headline read: “After years of being ‘squeaky clean,’ the Federal Reserve is surrounded by controversy.” CNBC was royally roasted on Twitter for its “squeaky clean” fairy tale.World:
China: Everyone Can Feel The Profound Anxiety Of The Ruling Class In the past two months, the regime of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has taken drastic measures that have shocked society and have triggered widespread speculation. The state has disciplined a number of large private corporations while instituting wide-ranging regulations on the entertainment industry. The motivation behind these measures was eerily summed up by an obscure blog post that was promoted by all major state media outlets, proclaiming that “everyone can feel that a profound transformation is underway!” But is the CCP state actually leading a social transformation? Or are these measures aimed at defending the foundations of capitalism in China?
Why Do Europeans Live Longer Than Americans? The explanation, of course, will be the Covid-19 pandemic. But those demographers of the future, to really understand American mortality in the early decades of the 21st century, are going to need another asterisk. They’re going to need an explanation why Americans of that era, before the pandemic hit, were living significantly shorter lives than their peers elsewhere in the developed world.
Health, Education, and Welfare:
The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who pass universal healthcare for themselves, but cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be, a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People Vote on Healthcare!
Universal Vaccination Needed Now! Tomorrow Will Be Too Late!: 5 Urgent Steps Needed to Vaccinate the World and End This Pandemic We must treat universal vaccine coverage as an urgently needed global public good, not as an eventual outcome of market forces. The world stands at a critical juncture of the COVID-19 pandemic. Countries that lack the first round of vaccine coverage are extraordinarily vulnerable to the highly infectious Delta variant, and are also seedbeds for new variants that could quickly spread worldwide. The Lancet COVID-19 Commission, which I chair, is working urgently with the United Nations system to strengthen the multilateral response. Governments of countries where vaccines are being produced – the United States, European Union members, the United Kingdom, India, Russia, and China – need to cooperate under UN leadership to ensure that a sufficient supply of vaccine doses reaches the poorest countries.
Public Origins of Covid Vaccine Technology Expose Indecency of Big Pharma Pandemic Profits “Enough is enough—we must start putting people before profits.” Public Citizen recently uncovered “an agreement that the European Commission reached with Pfizer and BioNTech last November to purchase 100 million doses of the companies” mRNA vaccine, which was developed with the support of government funding and U.S. taxpayer-financed technology. In the 104-page contract, Public Citizen found a list of manufacturing specifications for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, including particular composition and strength, identity, and purity requirements followed throughout the production process.
Vaccine Equity Coalition Warns ‘Pathetic Trickles of Charity’ Won’t End Pandemic “With up to 10,000 people dying every day, nothing short of redistributing the rights to produce the vaccines will be enough.” Rich countries are selfishly looking out for themselves but short-changing all of us. We need bold solutions now, not more empty gestures.”
