The Great Myth: That under their leadership. ‘Things are better off now.’ Since the Trade Union Bureaucracies and Social Movement Misleaders under Democrats in partnership with the ruling class, since 1665 real average weekly earnings have dropped $320 a week to $160 dollars a week in real weekly earnings. Thiis partnership was codified in 1985.

Starting in the mid-1980s, This ‘partnership’ gave birth to the one, two, three, three ect. .. wage tier system! Selling out the futures of future young workers entering the labor force. And, since the lowest union wage is the immediately the highest non-union wage, this wage tier system cut the wages of the entire working class! When I was a union official, I called this system labors rush to the bottom! Shadow Government Statistics Real Average Weekly Earniings Official real earnings today still have not recovered their inflation adjusted levels of the early 1970s, and, at best, have been in a minimal uptrend for the last two decades (albeit spiked recently by negative headline inflation). Deflated by the ShadowStats (1990 – Based) measure, real earnings have been in fairly-regular decline for the last four decades, which is much closer to common experience than the pattern suggested by the CPIW.

The reason why Trump’s slogan ‘Make America Great Again’ has appeal to the working-class is that the working-class standard of living has fallen, while the 1% have prospered! To end the Rpublicats austerity, intimately, we must work to build a working cllas leadership that is opposed to the Labor/Management partnership to build a new leadership that is in partnership with the membershp, not the employers to revitalise the the unions and oppose the political symbol of that partnership, the Democractic Party!
In a simlar manner the leadership of the Civil Rights Movement, the Woments movement, and other movements of the exploited and Oppressed also. have been alsco-popted by the 1%’s Democratic Party in support of its’ austerity program!
