And Now the Total Caronavirs Deaths in the United  States are Over 20%  of the Total Death in the Entire World!

Another Example Capitalism as a Failed System: World Capilalism Was Aware of the Danger of Cornovavirus Threat 4 Years Ago and Did Nothing!

Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The very future of Humanity Is Now At stake!occupy1

During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity, 2.Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!  Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

Democracy?:As the Capitalist Robber Barons Steal from the 99%,  Only the 1% Voted For Austerity!   The 99% Should Decide On Austerity — Not Just The 1% Who, Profit From Austerity!!  Under Austerity, All of the World Will Eventually Be Pauperized, Humbled, and Desecrated Like Greece and Puerto Rico.!   Socialism Means True Democracy, that the 99% Will Rule, Not the Few!

Quotes of the Day:

First of all, this is another example of Capitalism as a Failed System: World Capitalism Was Aware of the Danger of Cornovavirus Threat 4 Years Ago and Did Nothing To Prepare for the Epidemic/Pandemic! — Roland Sheppard,  United States Coronavirus Pandemic Crisis: Lessons to be Learned

In addition to the genetic engineering of viruses and lab accidents, the other major avenue of plague pandemics has an agricultural origin. The Confined Animal Feeding Operations – CAFOs – have always been fertile grounds for animal and human pestilence. Mass crowding of mammals creates an ideal environment for “new and lethal viral mutations.” Put thousands, much less millions, of animals very close to each other and you guarantee pandemic disease among those animals and diseases among humans feeding and slaughtering those animals — Evaggelos Vallianatos

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through their ownership of the Reublicrats and who profit from war and the war budget, vote for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The United States takes from the poor and gives to the Rich.

Plague Journal #14: The Fusion Centers Are Probably Working Overtime It’s not just that we have no idea what their work really is, we also don’t have a clue about how much it costs. It’s not just that we have no idea what their work really is, we also don’t have a clue about how much it costs.  The Fusion Centers were working overtime this past week. You probably didn’t know.  Reading daily newspapers wouldn’t have helped you.  Nor would listening to the radio or watching TV.   And unless you happen to have the internet-diving skills of an Edward Snowden or a Julian Assange (not to equate the two!) you can’t find out. So here’s some help. There are dozens of Fusion Centers, at least one in every state and territory. They’re under the control of the Department of Homeland Security, that little regulated, multi-tentacled  government branch, created in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks.  Personnel and budgets are secret.  On the Homeland Security home page, you can find the Fusion Centers’  mission:  To “serve as primary focal points within the state and local environment for the receipt, analysis, gathering, and sharing of threat-related information among federal, state, local, tribal and territorial partners. Located in states and major urban areas throughout the country, Fusion Centers are uniquely situated to empower front-line law enforcement, public safety, fire service, emergency service, public health and private sector security personnel to lawfully gather and share threat-related information.” By Larry BenskyAmerican “Democracy” In Action!:  Louisville, City of 600,000, Has A Single Polling Place In Kentucky Primary Both Kentucky, New York officials say results could take a while due to increased mail-in voting Overwhelmed Kentucky and New York officials faced a deluge of mail-in votes likely to delay results for days after high-profile primaries Tuesday, contests testing whether establishment Democratic congressional candidates can withstand challengers fuelled by voter fury over racism.Majority Oppose the Iron Heal!: ‘This Is Why We March’: Poll Shows Overwhelming US Support for Police Reform, Increased Accountability Among other major changes, large majorities of the American public want clear standards for police misconduct and prosecution of officers guilty of excessive force. Environment:

Capitalism Fouls Things Up!: —We are Being Plasticsized!:  Thousands of Tons of Microplastics Are Falling from the Sky New research helps unravel how vast amounts of plastic particles travel—both regionally and globally—on the wind arried by the wind, dust particles from places such as the Sahara Desert can float halfway around the world before settling to the ground. As the plastics discarded by humans break down into tiny pieces in the environment, they, too, drift through the atmosphere. Now scientists are a step closer to understanding how these globe-trotting microplastics travel—both locally and on long-distance flights. By Scott Hershberger

A Ten-Point Agenda for the Global South After COVID-19 Our team at Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research developed a ten-point agenda for a post-COVID-19 world. Last week, I presented this agenda at the High-Level Conference on the Post-Pandemic Economy, organised by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA). The rest of this newsletter is taken up with the agenda, which we hope will be adopted by the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) who might take it forward for discussion to the UN General Assembly. We are certainly in need of a New International Economic Order. By Vijay Prashad

Whistleblowing, the Pandemic and a ‘Law and Order’ System of Injustice It is hard to find many positives as the death toll from the novel coronavirus continues to climb, but as we have seen before with situations of crisis, truth does find a way to make itself known. In the sense of whistleblowing, we saw it with the crisis involving the president, which demonstrated the worth and power of whistleblowers to bring accountability to power (though of course, the end result had more to do with denial than truth). Now we see the revealing nature of whistleblowing once again as so many have been coming forward to reveal how we have had no preparedness nor plan with regard to combatting the coronavirus. Whistleblowers have testified before Congress about how woefully unprepared we have been and how the response from those charged with protecting us and this nation has been, at best, deemed inadequate, and at worse, negligent. Imagine where we would be in this pandemic without the courage of those who have dared to come forward to reveal the realities of our government’s response to and our preparedness in a global crisis  By Jeffrey SterlingLabor:

Why Did Jay Clayton Want the Job as Federal Prosecutor for Wall Street? House Subcommittee Will Get First Shot at Asking Him Tomorrow. There has been surprisingly little attention paid to the fact that members of a House hearing scheduled for tomorrow will get the first shot at asking SEC Chair Jay Clayton the question that is on everyone’s minds: why he didn’t want to return to his highly compensated job at the Wall Street law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell (where he had previously spent more than two decades of his life) but wanted instead to become the U.S. Attorney (federal prosecutor) for the Southern District of New York – a job for which he lacked one scintilla of prosecutorial experience.  In fact, Clayton wanted that job so badly that he was willing to have U.S. Attorney General William Barr oust the sitting U.S. Attorney in that district, Geoffrey Berman, late last Friday night in order to open the slot for Clayton. The UK and Boris Johnson on the Skids As I write (the weekend of 20-21 June), the UK’s death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic has reached 43,632, and the total number of cases over 300,000. The total number of excess deaths (the number of deaths for a period of a particular year typically calculated against the average for that time of year for the preceding 5 years) is 64,500 (according to the UK’s Office for National Statistics).  By Kenneth Surin

Health, Science, Education, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who ‘governn’, pass universal healthcare for themselves, but they cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’!
