Money RequiredAnother Example Capitalism as a Failed System: World Capilalism Was Aware of the Danger of Cornovavirus Threat Over 5 Years Ago and Did Nothing!:  Under Capitalism — Human Lives Don’t Matter  Capitalism Does Not, and Never Has, Worked for the Masses! In Its Death Agony, Capitalism Is Traveling About The World Like The Four Horsemen of the The Apocalypse, Spreading  Racism,  War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death. The future of Humanity Is Now At stake!Since World War I, ‘the war to end all wars’, there have been perpetual wars for perpetual peace, this Laura Gray’s cartoon from the front page of The Militant August 18, 1945, Under the Banner Headline: “There Is No Peace”During This Economic Crisis, Capitalism’s Three-Point Political Program: 1.Austerity,2. Scapegoat Blacks, Minorities, and ‘Illegal’ Immigrants for Unemployment, and 3.  The Iron Heel!    For Decades, Blacks Have Been Subjected to The Iron Heel!   Currently, the US Capitalist Class is Divided Over When — Not If, to Apply It to Everyone!

Due to Years of Austerity, Cuts to Public Health Care, And An Anti-Science and Profiteering President, The United States Now Leads the World In  Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in the World!

Always Remember:  That President Obama, With a Majority Democrat Legislature Supported the Wall Street Bailout and Remember, That he Established, in writing,  the United States Capitalist Austerity Program. —  The Race to the Bottom/Pauperization of the 99%!

Democracy?: As the Capitalist Robber Barons Steal from the 99%,  Only the 1% Voted For Austerity!   The 99% Should Decide On Austerity — Not Just The 1% Who, Profit From Austerity!!  Under Austerity, All of the World Will Eventually Be Pauperized, Humbled, and Desecrated Like Greece and Puerto Rico.!   Socialism Means True Democracy, that the 99% Will Rule, Not the Few!

Quotes 0f the Day:

Washington claims it would give Russia control over gas going to Europe. But it doesn’t object to the gas pipeline going from Russia across Ukraine to Europe.     Russia’s plan is to bypass Ukraine, by building other pipelines, including Nord Stream 2.     One of the reasons the US is opposed to the new pipelines is that they would cut off the rent Ukraine charges Russia to allow the gas to flow across its territory, a source of financing for the US client state. This rent raises the cost of the gas.     Getting gas cheaper directly from Russia is the main reason Germany supports Nord Stream 2.    What Washington really opposes is not that Russia could potentially cut off supplies (a far-fetched danger that would be against Russia’s interests) but Germany’s increased control over more gas flowing from Germany to the rest of Europe.     The US regards Germany as much more of an economic competitor than Russia.     The US is also opposed to Nord Stream 2 because it wants Germany to buy its liquified fracked gas. Since liquifying gas and shipping it in pressurised containers across the Atlantic comes at a cost, Germany would pay more for it than for gas from Russia.     Blinken has even threatened Germany with sanctions unless it cancels the project. Is this a bluff? Any sanctions against Germany would cause anti-Biden hostility to grow among the German people.     A possible wild card for Germany is the German Greens. The German Greens moved to the right years ago, and stand for supporting the US drive against China and Russia (and subordination to the US generally), and want Nord Stream 2 cancelled. (By contrast, the US Greens ran two socialists for president and vice president in the 2020 elections on an anti-imperialist program.) — United States: Biden Announces ‘America is Back’, Pressures Europe on China, Russia

United States:

The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! Only the 1%, through. their ownershipof the Reublicrats, who profit from war and the war budget, voted for War and the war budget — A policy, which Gore Vidal called a  Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace. — The 99% Should Decide On War — Not Just The 1% Who Profit From War!  Under a Democracy, The 99% would have the right to vote on the policy of Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace! The Killing Fields of the United States!: Throughout Trial Over George Floyd’s Death, Killings by Police Mount Since testimony in Derek Chauvin’s trial began on March 29, more than three people a day have died at the hands of law enforcement. By John Eligon and Shawn Hubler The White House Warns That the U.S. Lags Behind China On Developing Clean Technologies. A report published by the Biden administration on Friday made the case that a failure to adopt clean energy technologies and reduce carbon emissions will contribute to rising economic costs, and warns that the United States has fallen behind in its efforts to develop strategies to combat the effects of climate change.Environment:

Capitalism Puts Profits Before Humanity’s Right to Life and Health!

Background Radiation Has Increased 600 Percent – 1 mSv In 1950 To over 6 mSv Today; Where Is This Coming From? Physicist Dr. Paolo Scampa And Dr Busby Weigh In On The Evidence And Root Causes “Eisenbud points out that the world Inventory of radioactive materials prior to World War II, both in the environment and in the laboratory, was confined to those which occurred in nature, with the exception of a relatively few millicuries of radioactivity produced in cyclotrons during the late 1930’s. Construction of large nuclear reactors during the war and the associated operations for extracting plutonium from irradiated uranium resulted in the first extensive occasions for contaminating the environment with radioactive substances.”  When you are told that a radioactive substance is a small percentage of ‘Natural  Background Radiation,’ remember that, before WWII, ‘Natural Background Radiation’ was close to zero. (See the  Graph Below!) —  Roland Sheppard, There Are No ‘Safe Radiation’ Levels! If Fukushima’s Water is Safe, Then Drink it! By now, the world knows all about the decision by Japan to dump tritium-laced radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean. According to Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso, the treated and diluted water will be “safe to drink.” Furthermore, he claims the country should have started releasing it into the ocean earlier. (Source: China to Japan: If Treated Radioactive Water From Fukushima is Safe, ‘Please Drink It’ Washington Post, April 15, 2021)In response to Deputy PM Aso, Chinese Foreign Minster Lijian Zhao replied “the ocean is not Japan’s trashcan” and furthermore, since Japan claims it’s safe to drink, “then drink it!” By Robert Hunziker

Big Banks Are Fueling the Climate Emergency The only “green” the big banks are interested in is your hard earned money. Every Earth Day, your inbox becomes inundated with corporate messaging about sustainability and vague pledges from brands to protect our planet. Usually, the emails are instructional: “Cut your carbon footprint with our new product!” What we don’t hear so much about is how financial institutions are poisoning the planet. That’s right, the world’s biggest banks are responsible for fueling the climate crisis. According to a report from the Rainforest Action Network, the world’s 60 biggest banks have financed $3.8 trillion worth of fossil fuel companies, just since the passage of the Paris Climate Agreement. America’s largest banks—JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and CitiGroup—have each put more than $200 billion of fossil fuel interests in the past five years. By Joe Sanberg

Black Lives Matter: “When We Fight, We Win” As the world  awaited the fate of  Derek Chauvin–the Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of killing George Floyd–Black Lives Matter co-founder Melina Abdullah joined Robert Scheer on “Scheer Intelligence” to discuss what he calls the most successful social justice movement the country has perhaps ever seen. In the timely episode, Abdullah, a lifelong activist and California State University, Los Angeles professor, traces the roots of the BLM movement back to 2013 and notes that Floyd’s killing was the moment the “world was cracked wide open” for everyone to see the deep-seated systemic racism at the core of every American institution. She adds, however, that regardless of a guilty verdict there is still a lot of work to be done in order to truly achieve racial justice. Even a guilty verdict, she states, does  not amount to anything akin to justice, as “justice is much bigger than anything the criminal legal system or any verdict can mete out.”

Labor:

While the decline of manufacturing employment is widely known— enough so that it has been given a special place in the renewed culture wars, it is widely understood to be an historical artifact. In fact, policy decisions leading to deindustrialization were serially made over the last half century. From the perspective of ‘markets,’ dumping six million former manufacturing workers into the deindustrialized hellscape of rust-belt towns and cities reduced wages and economic security for all workers. Furthermore, the financial economy that replaced it has been being bailed out since the ‘Greenspan put’ began in the late 1980s. Capitalism as a Suicide CultEconomy:

As Long as Capitalism and Big Pharma Keep Profiting From the Vaccines, The Global Capitalist Pandemic Crisis Will Not End!

In Fiery Remarks at WTO, South Africa Slams Rich Nations Blocking Vaccine Patent Waiver “Is the concern of opponents really that Pfizer and BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, etc. have not made sufficient billions?” asked a trade representative for the African nation. In statements at an informal World Trade Organization meeting on Thursday, South Africa took rich countries to task for publicly stressing the need for international cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 while simultaneously blocking a patent waiver that would help manufacturers ramp up vaccine production across the globe.     “One year on, three million deaths later, there is still huge disparity in access to vaccines, while the technology and knowledge for the development and production of vaccine is monopolized through the intellectual property system, with only select manufacturers allowed to manufacture by way of a license, and even then on terms that restrict production and supply,” a South African representative said during the WTO gathering. The West is Practicing Vaccine Apartheid at a Global Level  More than an eighth of the world’s population living in rich countries—the United States, Canada, the UK, and the EU—have access to more than 50 percent of the world’s vaccine doses. According to Our World in Data, about 112 million people in the United States alone received at least a single vaccine jab by April 8. This is more than 12 times higher than the total number of people vaccinated in the entire continent of Africa—which has four times the population of the United States. On April 8, the World Health Organization said that “nearly 13 million of the 31.6 million doses delivered so far [to 45 African countries] have been administered.” By Prabir Purkayastha

Portugal: The Days of Social Peace Are Over The apparent social peace in Portugal in recent years – without major uprisings or noteworthy social turmoil – hides a much more complex and bitter reality beneath its fragile surface. Whilst the mainstream media, nationally and internationally, hailed the economic recovery after Portugal’s debt crisis as a new dawn, the scars left in society by a decade of austerity, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, have created the potential for future revolutionary developments. By RuiEducation, Health, Science, and Welfare:

The government of the United States can pass laws in a few days to spend tens of trillions of dollars for war and the bailout of Wall Street and the bankers. Yet, those who pass universal healthcare for themselves, but cannot spend even one trillion dollars for universal health for those who are ‘governed’! This is what is considered, by the powers to be,  a democracy and part of the democratic way. — Roland Sheppard, Let the People  Vote on Healthcare
