The United States is not a Democracy (A government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly)! The Pentagon “Misplaced” $2.46 Trillion: An In-Depth Look At The Financial Audit Failures The Pentagon, which houses the United States Department of Defense (DoD), failed its financial audit again, marking the seventh consecutive year of such failure. This latest audit revealed that the DoD could not account for 60% of its $4.1 trillion in assets. This amounts to a staggering $2.46 trillion that remains unaccounted for. The DoD’s inability to track such a vast sum of money underscores significant financial mismanagement within the department.    Despite these repeated failures, the Department of Defense continues to receive its full annual budget of $824 billion. This situation raises questions about fiscal responsibility and oversight. The audits, which are conducted by independent auditors and overseen by the DoD Inspector General, cost $178 million annually and involve the efforts of 1,700 auditors. Despite these extensive efforts, the audits consistently reveal significant errors and gaps in the financial records of the DoD.     The Pentagon’s audit failures stand in stark contrast to the stringent measures imposed on private citizens. If a private individual were to fail multiple IRS audits, they would face severe penalties, including hefty fines and potential jail time for tax evasion. This disparity highlights a double standard in accountability and raises concerns about how public funds are managed. The lack of significant consequences for these audit failures within the DoD suggests a need for greater accountability and transparency in government spending.

GEO Group, one of the nation’s largest private prison contractors, filed a federal lawsuit last month against California officials to strike down a state law allowing local public health officials to inspect immigration detention facilities.    The Florida-based company argued in a filing that California’s law, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in August, is unconstitutional because it steps on the federal government’s authority to manage detention centers. By extension, GEO claimed intergovernmental immunity as a contractor.

Executed by a Racist “Justice” System Despite Zero DNA Evidence No DNA, fingerprints, or shoeprints linked Williams to the scene of the crime. The prosecution’s case relied heavily on Williams’s previous convictions as a burglar, his possession of items stolen from Gayle, the testimony of Williams’s former cellmate, and his ex-girlfriend. Williams’s defense alleged that both witnesses sought a $10,000 reward put up by the Gayle family. In fact, Williams’s former cellmate was paid $5,000, although Williams’s ex didn’t receive anything.     In the years following the verdict, both the Gayle family and the prosecutor raised doubts about the case and called for Williams’s sentence to be reduced to life imprisonment. Civil rights activists worked tirelessly to raise awareness, collecting more than 600,000 signatures on an online petition demanding clemency. Thousands of phone calls and emails were sent to the Missouri state capitol pleading for Williams’s life. Despite multiple court appeals, both Republican Governor Mike Parson and the US Supreme Court approved the execution.

The End of American Thanksgivings: A Cause for Universal Rejoicing

This article was first published in The Black Commentator  in 2003 and republished in Black Agenda Report in 2019.)     Nobody but Americans celebrates Thanksgiving. It is reserved by history and the intent of “the founders” as the supremely white American holiday, the most ghoulish event on the national calendar. No Halloween of the imagination can rival the exterminationist reality that was the genesis, and remains the legacy, of the American Thanksgiving.      It is the most loathsome, humanity-insulting day of the year – a pure glorification of racist barbarity.     We at BC are thankful that the day grows nearer when the almost four centuries-old abomination will be deprived of its reason for being: white supremacy. Then we may all eat and drink in peace and gratitude for the blessings of humanity’s deliverance from the rule of evil men.    Thanksgiving is much more than a lie – if it were that simple, an historical correction of the record of events in 1600s Massachusetts would suffice to purge the “flaw” in the national mythology. But Thanksgiving is not just a twisted fable, and the mythology it nurtures is itself inherently evil. The real-life events – subsequently revised – were perfectly understood at the time as the first, definitive triumphs of the genocidal European project in New England. The near-erasure of Native Americans in Massachusetts and, soon thereafter, from most of the remainder of the northern English colonial seaboard was the true mission of the Pilgrim enterprise – Act One of the American Dream. African Slavery commenced contemporaneously – an overlapping and ultimately inseparable Act Two.     The last Act in the American drama must be the “root and branch” eradication of all vestiges of Act One and Two – America’s seminal crimes and formative projects. Thanksgiving as presently celebrated – that is, as a national political event – is an affront to civilization.
